5 best travel tips for Dubai in 2021

With the plans of travel comes various questions like what you should wear, what is the best time to visit, how can I make a good impression in front of strangers etc. It is too much to think that you forget the happy feeling that you are going on a Dubai tour package from India. To help you we have some tips for you, so you can enjoy your trip to Dubai.

  1. Best time to visit Dubai

It is the most important aspect of travelling whether you are travelling to Dubai or anywhere in the world. Your bucket list of places to visit when you reach a destination also depends on the aspect – what time of the year to visit. The best time to visit Dubai is during winter between November to March, during these months the temperature is comfortable enough for sightseeing. If you visit during the summer months you won’t be able to tolerate the high temperatures and all of Dubai is in hibernation during these months.

One thing to keep in mind is that December-end to mid-February Dubai witnesses the peak season because of new year celebrations and the Dubai shopping festival. You will see the streets and attractions with thick crowds and long queues. Moreover, the hotel prices also skyrocket during this time.

  1. What should you wear?

Wearing clothes that suit the aura of a particular country, its culture and climate are necessary to ensure that no one has to undergo discomfort. Dubai is not as conservative as it is rumoured to be, no one is forbidden to wear anything, but their culture prefers wearing clothes that cover shoulders and knees. You should respect the culture of the city you visit.

There are many beaches in the city; you can pack your shorts and swimwear to spend an amazing time there.

  1. What can land you in jail?

Dubai is an Islamic city, so it may be not as conservative as other Islamic countries but it is a lot different from your city. A simple gesture of a man patting another male friend’s hip can land him in jail. Shocking isn’t it? Yes, it is, but showing your homosexual side out in open can be considered an offence to the religious communities in Dubai. Alcohol is strictly prohibited outside bars, restaurants or confinements of your hotel, you would end up in jail by the time you wake up from your alcohol-induced haze.

A female can’t stay with her male friend unless you two are married, so don’t even think about booking a room for two to stay with your male/ female friend. PDA or Public Display of Affection is strictly a no. In Dubai people do get arrested for PDAs, however, you can hold your partner’s hand and give a peck on the cheek.

  1. What is the best behaviour?

You must know what gesture can make your first impression in a foreign place bad. In Dubai, you must ask permission of a stranger if you want to click photographs that contain them. And clicking photos of airports, military installations and government buildings is strictly prohibited. Tipping is also not considered mandatory in Dubai, but over the years it has become a common practice.

Make sure you are not spotted drunk on the streets, that’s not a good thing to do in Dubai. You should check before you visit the city that is not a religious month. If it is Ramadan, refrain from eating, drinking and smoking in front of people who are fasting.

  1. Covid requirements

With COVID-19 travel restrictions eased, the city is welcoming visitors again but you need to keep in mind some points when you decide to visit the city. Make sure you have a COVID-19 PCR test taken 4 days before the travel date. If you have any symptoms of coronavirus, you need to fill out all the symptoms in the health declaration form.

If you do test positive on reaching Dubai, you will be put in a 14-day quarantine. And any airline has the right to cancel your ticket if you have symptoms.
